As a lover of YA, I know all about the hype of Sarah J. Maas, I love her books but there is more out there, and these are just a few of them. 


You've Reached Sam by Justin Thao 

This book wrecked me, it’s about a young girl named Julie whose boyfriend died in a car accident and one day she gets a call from said boyfriend. A story about grieving. This had me crying on the metro I must admit. 


There's No Way I'd Die First by Lisa Springer 

Noelle is an expert at all things horror, so for her birthday party she decides to throw a spooky private party for all the top people in her school. What she and her guest don’t expect is for her party to become just like one of those said horror movies. They all fight for their lives hoping to make it through the night.
