Jordan's Favorite Children's Books!

These are just some of my favorite children’s books that I've read since working at Kramer's. I love the messages each of these stories has. I do tend to judge a book by its cover *gasp* but in my defense I'm a sucker for a beautiful art style.
Sulwe by Lupita Nyong'o: This is about a little girl who doesn’t like the color of her skin but with the help from the stars that changes. The illustrator is Vashti Harrison, and she did a beautiful job capturing the story. It has one of the most beautiful scenes in a book I have ever seen.
Shy Willow by Cat Min: This is about a shy little rabbit who lives in a mailbox who one day receives a letter addressed to the moon and decides she must take it there. This story is sweet. It makes me feel warm with happiness when I read it.
Antionette and Gaston by Kelly Dipucchio: This is about a French bulldog and a poodle who it seems may have been switched at birth, so they switch back, and chaos ensues. I know I'm cheating just a little by putting 2 books in one, but I promise you it’s worth checking out both.
Eyes that Kiss in the Corner by Joanna Ho: This one is about a girl who loves the shape of her eyes and all the stories behind them. I love the art style in this one. It reminds me of a Pixar short. The story is also so beautiful.
Stella's Hair by Yesenia Moises: This one is about a young girl who hoverboards through the galaxy to find a new hairstyle. Hopping from planet to planet to see a different aunt to test a new look. I loved the space theme to it all. The art style was also so beautiful.
